@Curtis, cool, well I asked you this because Ms is actively promoting .Net core, claiming it platform independent, faster and all that, so I wonder why. Anyway, is Python really all that quicker? you did some testings then? and what about other features like UI design, data connectivity Python wins there too?

yes currently I use c# + asp.net core but I'm slowly transitioning to python + django

@ipang I have been working with c# and asp.net for a couple years. C# as a statically typed language is getting kind of old. I enjoy writing python much more, it's a lot quicker and funner than c# in my opinion.

I was saying it's quicker to write in my opinion, you can get some tasks done with a single line of code where other languages take 4 or 5. A good example of this is the string manipulation challenge on sololearn. Check out the python submissions vs like the Java in the comments. I have yet to test the speeds of the sites because I'm barely getting my hands wet with django. I am curious to see what the outcome is though.

Don't get me wrong, I will probably always be programming something in the MS stack and it will stay my specialty but I enjoy taking a break and seeing what other languages / frameworks can do.
