What is the best software/platform/Framework to create a cross-platform mobile apps other than Android Studio?

This year, I'm going to make a final year project, my group wants to build a mobile application -based system that the system, always used in universities, I've used Android Studio before but I've found it hard to use because it uses java language, and I'm just a students with basic knowledge in HTML, CSS, PHP, MYSQL, JavaScript and Java, what is the best free platform / Framework / Software to build a good and best mobile app? There is a framework called PlayN which allows you to make a game (you can do other stuff besides games) in java and automatically use it for cross platform. It supports Android, html and Java. I think Flash is depreciated in the newer versions and iOS doesn’t work anymore due to the end of RoboVM.
