Where does LUA fit?

Question

I noticed SoloLearn doesn't seem to include LUA. I'm relatively new to coding and have done a decent amount of LUA, building missions and whatnot in various games. I'm wondering which other language(s) , if any, are similar to LUA and might make sense to try to learn in tandem, or at least learn more easily having a foundational understanding in LUA in place?

I just figure it makes sense to piggyback on what I already know rather than steer in a totally new direction while I'm still growing as a coder.
