Where can i find projects?

I want to build a web app .So i was looking for some projects that i can work on for practice.Where can i find it ?

There is also BitBucket or SourceForge - obviously sites of free repository providers are great. But you can also check big open source projects that use technology you want to learn.

Ya i was looking forward to get into open source projects ... thats why i wanted practice first and then hit big ... Coz idk where to find open source projects... So i am starting with small projects...anyways thanks Ondrej
