Pick one and stick with it. It doesn’t matter which one. Somebody that is really good at python(or C++) will be better than somebody that can do only the very basics in both languages. Try to learn good programming practices. Learn data structures and algorithms and how to think like a programmer and when you are ready for another language it’s just syntax at that point.
