no, c and c++ are faster, at least when it comes to processing time. Python is faster to type, it takea less lines to do the same. However, this also causes it to be less powerful. Sometimes the difference can be quite large, sometimes it does not make much of a difference. An interesting fact is that Google was built using Python, and they used it for some years. You can also combine Python and C to get the best of both worlds: C for the heavy processes, Python for the rest.
