How can i get a PHP or JavaScript book or tutorial of any format with real life examples and the corresponding codes??

I need a tutorial on any format on JavaScript or PHP where real life examples are converted into codes. This should contain a lot of exercises. I feel recognising real life statements or problems and outputting the solution in PHP or JavaScript code is a nice way to gain ideas and build better and in demand apps or websites. anyone with answers????
