Can you tell us about a shared project you participated in ?

I've been reading many times that a good 'next step' after sololearn is to take part in a github project. I would be glad to read and learn more about some real experiences.

I was part of the PonyCraft team. We dissolved but it introduced me to C++ (though most of my module was written in C). Made me realise what a few indies could do. I made a friend, too. I also realised I was a lone wolf programmer who worked better alone. It was humbling too, seeing kids with such skill.
