What are challenges and weapons?

I hope this is not a dumb question, but I cannot readily find an answer. I'm new to SoloLearn and I see badges describing "challenges" and "weapons". Can anyone explain or direct me to instructions as to how these "challenges" are located and how users participate?

you cant find challenges in web version of sololearn

What they are:
Challenges ->
Challenges try to get you to answer questions in a short period of time, your result will be compared against your 'opponent'. Whoever gets the most correct answers wins the challenge.

Weapons ->
This refers to languages.
For example, HTML
