Should I become a software engineer?

I want a future career in computing and I have thought it through and have chosen to be an software engineer or an android developer. I chose this because its a well paying job and I love computing and being able to incorporate something you love into a job is hard. But I have been hearing that its a bad job and is not good. My questions are:

Should I become a software engineer or an android developer?
Is is a good job?
What other jobs can I do?
What qualifications would I need?

Seems like you're doubting you're decisions.
Do what you love to do and become what you wanted to become as far as i know all you need to do is to focus on track like you've decided to become mobile application developers now uou can switch between android to iPhone but it would wasting of time if you switch to entirely to something else like as network administration.
Start correlating you're idea
look into the market demand and then go for it.
And please don't think about future because we never know what's coming next we just have to be prepare for everything.
