Does anybody have to keep doing lessons over and over again?

I have to do this all the time

Yeah i have had to do this a few times in the past but i would rather start again than have to start asking simple questions

On programming languages I already knew, no. However, languages that were different to other languages I knew, like Python, threw me a bit.

Yup. Rote repetition is a great way to learn by building up the connections in your brain over and over. Makes them stronger and more likely to last. But don't be afraid to ask questions. We've all needed help in programming before and we all understand. There is literally an entire website dedicated to q&a on programming called stackoverflow.
