Do you need to have recognised coding qualifications to get a coding job?

I've been self teaching myself on sololearn for a few months now and I'm really enjoying it. If I'm still doing it and have gotten good at it in a couple of years time, would I even stand a chance at getting a coding job? I'm curious to hear people's stories.

Coding jobs are open to those without qualifications however i recommend for a better chance at success make a game/website depending on what position you're going for in order to show them what you're capable of. You'll need a lot of grit and determination. I believe you can do it.

PathFinder That's good to hear. Thanks for the vote of confidence. It's funny you mentioned games and websites. I plan to make at least 1 game and several websites before I even attempt to think about applying for anything. I want to make sure I have a strong understanding of what I'm doing first. Thanks for your answer 👍
