Do you really need to know applied or discrete math to become a software developer?

I met a lot of it guys, who have degrees in applied mathematics or engineering. But frankly speaking I am an eager humanitarian and don't know all this super superior math :( I feel like a loser becouse of it.

yes and no , some programs might just need subtraction/addition/multipilication/division and the yes is a sorta because all you really need is to understand the operators and know what your doing so changing my answer, the answer is no ,its just basic math

You do not need to be great at math to be a coder, although math is still beneficial in coding. A lot of coders cannot do math well, but they became great coders. You do not need to feel like a loser just because you don’t know advanced math. :)
