Report this to them. It appears to be a 'bug'. Although, the simulated Code Playground doesn't truly work as good as a full standard environment.

Well not really bad per se. More that the Code Playground is a simulated / sandboxed environment. You can't just let someone loose on a website, being able to run live code.

The disadvantages of a simulated coding environment, is that it will never be as good as the real thing. It's a trade-off between security and functionality.

However, if you report your issue, I'm sure they'll add it eventually.
