When making a game, specifically something similar to Mystic Messenger, what languages is required to learn?

I've always wanted to learn how to code, but the biggest motivation for me to even start learning is to make apps! I want my first app to be something like Mystic Messenger since I myself find games of a similar genre addicting. Does anyone know what code is used for the making of the game? If you don't know the app I'm talking about, please search it up! I would like all the help I can get...

According to Reddit, MM appears to have been built using Unity (C#). Of course, before venturing directly into gaming engines, you will first want to have a grasp of basic programming knowledge. Assuming that you wish to develop for Android, starting off with Java would be a good choice.

C#/unity (small games) or C++/unreal engine (big games)

Jax I'm just saying unity is better for indie devs and unreal is better for AAA stuff.

Timon Pablick, Unity is just as good as Unreal, in fact I’d say they’re perfectly equal. It depends on what you want to use, C#, or C++
