Is Python similar to Java or c++?

I am learning Java now. Maybe it is not good decision staring learning java first but I don't want to give up.
I want to know if it's similar to java, learning Python will help me understand Java well or not? why?
if it is totally different language, then it ok

It depend upon you how you learn any thing.python and Java are not similar in all form.but remember that python is easy than Java and more comfortable Java is also popular language .

C++ is more similar to Java than Python. Python has not exactly the same structure.
