Is 'INHERIT' property necessary?

if i have a p tag inside my body tag and i define the background-repeat in my body, isn't that propery inherited by default in my p? of course, i decleared a background in my p as well...

not every property can be inherited
same is case with background repeat.
there is reason.
nor does background image inherited , think if it is inherited then every element would have same background image and page would be awkward, therefore there r several properties which r not inherited by default. so how to inherit them if in case u want - simple, use 'inherit' .
inherit is made for this only , for those properties which r not inherited by default- i hope u got it😃
