Is it an advisable move to learn Python as first programming language for novice?

The simple answer is yes. Python is what many colleges and universities are teaching as an intro to programming now. It is very easy to learn and it teaches you the basics of what most programming languages do.

Mun - yes, python is an excellent first programming language to learn. In my opinion, unless you have a lot of spare time, taking all 12 courses is sort of a waste. Do the sololearn intro class, and then move on to some python projects and read a python book.

Mun - Yes it is. Although it might also partly depend upon your future field of interest. Python syntax is relatively easier to comprehend and get a good hold of over numerous programming terminologies. You get to understand the workings and are also able to develop upon your mind's logical aspect.
