Can I learn to code even if I am doing architecture?

I am 20 years old and I recently started learning python, because I feel the need to be able to code. Have a little knowledge of Java. That is all.

Don't just start programming because you feel you 'need' to. Try it out, see if you like it and then decide. But don't feel pressured to invest time and effort in a very time consuming and at times frustrating journey just because of social pressures. And yes, it is easy to believe that, today, one 'has' to know at least some programming. Don't succumb to that idea! Rem Kohlhaas, Jacques Herzog or Bjarke Ingles won't be impressed just because you know a bit of Java (maybe Patrick Schumacher will, but that's a different story). Self test: If any of the names above are not immediately familiar to you, you know what to do :)
