when 6%5 then the quotient will be 1 so 5*1=5 =>6 - 5=1 so the remainder comes 1 and when 1%5 then the quotient will be 0 so 5*0=0 =>1- 0=1 so the remainder comes 1

It is cuz u cant put 5 to 1 even once. And 1 just stay 1. Thats work with any numbers if divider much than divideble. 4 % 5 = 4

The modulus is just the remainder of the division of the two numbers for example 1%5=1 because 1 divided by 5 is 0 remainder 1

This is simple maths Kara. When you try to divide 1 by 5. Think, what would you get as remainder

The modulus of a number in which the first number is lower than the second number...the first number is the modulus of the operation example: 1%5 => 1 ....2%5 => 2. ........... it is applicable to all numbers ....even 6 % 7 => 6..........

% or modulo operator returns the remainder of the division. If you divide 1 by 5 the remainder will be 1
