Ruby is a dynamic, reflective, object-oriented, general-purpose programming language. It was designed and developed in the mid-1990s by Yukihiro "Matz" Matsumoto in Japan. According to its creator, Ruby was influenced by Perl, Smalltalk, Eiffel, Ada, and Lisp.

Well i think it's dynamic because you can modify your class and method definitions at runtime and it's dynamically typed. it's reflective because you can make an object use its knowledge about its own structure, and it's object oriented because it makes it easy to use that paradigm in which your programs are a group of objects collaborating to solve your problem.
