Which programming language for programming contests?

Wanna know between c++ / c, java, python, which should i choose for programming contests and why?

It usually makes sense to pick the language you know best, unless the rules of the contest make picking one better than another. For example, the shortest code wins. There are languages that can do in three characters what Java takes 120 to do.

Contests usually revolve around a particular goal, so I would imagine that with programming contests, it simply depends upon the context of that particular contest. Get what I mean? If it's a Java contest, then I'd focus on Java for it. What contest are you trying to enter? I may be able to find better information on that particular contest for you.
