Counting syllables in a word

Hey.

I am looking for a way to count syllables in a word.

Can I use javascript? Python? Ruby?

I haven't decided on a programming language to focus on. There are so many choices to choose from which I find makes it very difficult to choose.

Anyone have any ideas?

There are many free examples for that task out there. I just found one on github. https://github.com/words/syllable

This task can be done in any language so any of them is ok. You just need to decide what your long term goal is and read the language's capabilities and choose the language accordingly.
If you plan yo develop web sites php or javascript may be more suitable. If you plan to develop an android app Java would be recommended etc.
Just decide what you wanna do next and you will know the answer to your question :)

Right on. Thank you. Grub is a new too me too.

I went to school for multimedia in 98. Then lost interest in writing in the media field and joined the navy.

I pretty much have to relearn a lot of stuff.
