Itiel Dan Java is mostly used for Android development but now kotlin is official language for Android. I don't know much about Java but Python is growing nowadays because of it's application in data science. Well, languages are always have multi-purpose uses, but it's best to use the dedicated tools or language built for every application. As an example, If some people knows python only, they can't pretend they can do everything with Python only.... At last if you are at beggining level, it's better to get clear that you are just exploring languages for fun and possible futuristic use or you are learning it to fulfill specific requirements.. that'll give you clarity which language you should start with

It's really damn easy that's why most of the fields are adapting it. But we have to get knowledge of tools available in it so we can use right tool at right place.

It’s easier because Pythons Type system is very different from Java’s and has a great and easy to use standard library and many great third party modules + plus an easy to use packet manager (pip). But I also think that objects feel clunky in python and are not as ergonomic to use as in java
