Best choice for Game Dev?

I'm looking into game dev, I'm a starter on programing however, I've always looked up more at the design side, but I figured I needed to learn to program too and have a basis on it, however I'm not really sure where to start, can you help me?

c# is great for game dev. Java for android apps. swift for iOS but c# will work too. any language will work for games on pc, but unity and many other engines use c#.

if all you care about is making games on your own, and you're ok with making just 2d, learn gml

yeah , to become a game developer you need to learn about programming ,
actually using a game engine as unreal engine and unity is the best choice and the easy way to develop a game, but even when you use an game engine you need to learn about proramming, well every game engine has his programming language for using ,
first choose a game engine ,and learn her language programming
