🙂 Nothing wrong with educating yourself about recognising scams, and learning good practices and techniques to protect yourself against it....

There is nothing "simple" about infosec. It is primarily about being a good technician and deeply know your stuff... and working hard at keeping this knowledge current.

python -m http.server
instead.

type ctrl C from the console to stop.

Now, as you want to be in control of what content you present , better do the following:
# create a new folder c:\web
#Put some html pages in there
#In the console, move to that folder:
cd c:\web
#Start your server from there
c:>python -m http.server 8000

#access your html pages from your browser
with url
localhost:8000/yourpagename.html
