Custom html tags?

So are custom HTML tags a thing? I occasionally mispell tags in html, like the textarea tag. Yet it still creates a closing tag Example: <tdxtarea></tdxtarea> This got me thinking. Are custom tags supported? Sololearn seems to style them just fine. But would the browser? It's not at all usefull, but I was just wondering xD

Haha nice one, but no, it's not possible. At least not unless you make a web browser that can read those tags. :) Cheers.

No custom tags are allowed in HTML. Everything is just predefined here.
