Go to Google and search for job. Companies are still only asking for Java devs, not C++ devs (and I have seen little-no job posts for C++ developers, compared to job posts for java). Right now what is on demand is Java no C++. If you only want to learn how to program you can learn any of them (Java or C++) whatever you code in Java you can do it in C++, however if you want to learn something that is on demand you should learn Java. I still remember when I was in college studying C++ one of the tutorials the author says: - People says that the future is Java, and sneered at Java. Those days Java was in pampers. Now I would like to see his face. Java is the future now.

I think u should learn java beacuse every program will u make in java.. Can run.. On windows as well as linux and mac too. Beside this when u will learn java you will be able to make softwares for pc and apps for android because android apps are written in java only.
