Ohoy there! Fundamentally, computers just deal with numbers. They store letters and other characters by assigning a number for each one. Before Unicode was invented, there were hundreds of different encoding systems for assigning these numbers. No single encoding could contain enough characters Unicode provides a unique number for every character, no matter what the platform, no matter what the program, no matter what the language. :) It is supported in many operating systems and all modern browsers. Cheers! Dr.

Unicode character is a special unique character or like picture type in a computer which is accepted as a code in a computer. It is supported on almost every OS and modern browsers.! For example we want to print a smiley face, for that we use Unicode character to print it.
