Is Java used as backend for websites and apps.. Throw some light please... Is it better than PHP, python.??

Hi Santosh K Reddy (& Tom), So we have an interesting mix of question components here. Yes, Java is used for both. The "is-this-technology-better-than-that-technology" type questions are too general to evoke valuable answers. It would be much better to specify a purpose. Each technology is optimized for some purposes and not others. For example, PHP isn't a general purpose language like Java is. Python is also general purpose and has very little overhead for the programmer but much larger overhead in terms of performance as the code base grows. My opinion, but I hope this helps! :)

Java is used in backend. That is what I know for sure. But I do not know anything more. I was trying to find tutorials on it yesterday, but there are a lot of old videos and sites only which explain it very badly :/ Could not find anything.

learning Java(upto advanced Java) completely assures me that I will be at coding. isn't it?? because Java covers all concepts related to coding... am I right.... throw some light please..

Yes you are right. If you learn java up to advanced, you will be able to make android apps or cool desktop apps with JavaFX. That is what I know and maybe Java has bigger possibilities and can be used in many other things..
