being a game dev you can make 70 thousand dollars a year. Flash games use objective C or Java, but multi million dollar games use C++. Learning to become a game dev can be hard because it can take years to master, but anyone can code!

Yes, knowing programming will be very useful if you want to make games. There are jobs like designing strategy, storyline and graphics that don't need code, but the rest will need it.
