The very first that most beginners should learn is HTML, which teaches you how to structure your webpages. Generally, it is the best introduction to start learning to code. Then learn the other languages suggested here in the comments.

The first programming language class I had was c++. It was a stressful experience, and I had a lot of mixed feelings about my career path. Concepts became more clear when I started learning HTML5, CSS3, PHP, and SQL. Coming back to languages like c++, Swift, and others has been a pleasant surprise. It may seem ridiculous to suggest all of those languages as opposed to Python, swift, something friendly, but I feel like each of those have taught me a great deal about programming.
