Notepad++ and Atom are good general pourpose code editors. What you are probably looking for are IDEs. It's much easier working in them but they are usually specialized for a handful of languages. I use Code::Blocks for C++

well thanks......I also use Code::Blocks..... that doesn't work for me......Atom.... let me check this one......

I would recommend the IDEs of JetBrains. There are some free ones like IntelliJ IDEA for java, but you can also get the paid ones for free if you are a student.

depends if you want anexo IDE or just a text editor. visual studio code is a good text editor/IDE with a lot of extensions available. you came Aldo debug code there.
