I am new at programming. How much time should i spend learning it? BTW I am at school.

But you should not neglect your studies though!
A good strategy is to try and use the programming to complement your school work: e.g., resolve math problems programmatically, or write some quiz games :-)

Putting a measurement on the amount of time you should spend learning is irrelevant. Learn as much as you want, but learn productively.

As much as you need. It's a constant learning curve so cant really say.
and different people learn at different pace.
