Please guys I feel bad that I am just learning this now. Can someone please recommend the steps to follow.

I really wanna do this but I don't know the perfect ABC steps to follow. people say Python should be first, some say it's better to start with Ruby, Java script... Please I really crave your help. Thanks.

What problem are you solving?

Makes more sense to have the end in mind, then selecting the tool. It seems motivationally unsustainable for most people (especially those who are easily overwhelmed with options as indicated by the struggle with starting to get started) to try to learn a general skill set, then try to find problems to solve within that skill set.

Pick some problems you would enjoy solving (i.e. would you like to make a game or something practical? do you prefer desktop web browsers or mobile devices? do you enjoy aesthetics or brainy math/logical challenges?).

There's plenty of room in the wide world of programming to play to your strengths. Only you can tell us what those are. Otherwise, we're sort of shooting in the dark.

There are lots of knowledgeable people here, so I think if you need more immediate assistance, the community would be better as sometimes I'm busy with work trying to hit a deadline or something. Otherwise, feel free to post a comment on one of my codes. I have the alerts/notifications turned on for those, so there's a good chance I will see it. 😊
