Tips on beginning Android development?

Question

I would say Im pretty skilled enough in Java (Still have MUCH to learn, though) & I would like to begin Android development & hopefully complete my first app within the next couple months.

Which software or Java topics should I be highly knowledgeable in before I even begin?

I use eclipse & I've installed Android Studio, but it seems a little overwhelming (At least, at first glance).

a couple of youtube tutorials and you will be pro in Android ;)

Try to know android studio better, just open some tutorials with it. You will get use to it soon

Well from my expirience - I took one-time job for tiny application (something like dashboard and also with server part created in PHP) so I was really motivated to learn it 😀
But I`m admitting that this is a hard-core way that is not suitable for those who do not like stress 😉
