Look up how to make a to do list and implement it with your own tweaks. That seems like a pretty standard well-rounded project to practice on.

I would recommend PHP to make things automated, like forms, etc. This would be useful for accounts. Take a look at HTML, there is a list, PHP is backend. Edit: There are other languages to make things automated.

Seemed to work fine with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript here: https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_js_todolist.asp You could always add back-end functionality to it later (e.g. if you wanted to save the content of your to do list instead of losing it when you close the browser).

I was like you, then I wanted to learn how to make website where people make an account and chat to eachother. Then I had to learn other technologies like ajax, php, json and mysql. I have the website now. Check it out http://chattyioio.dx.am Then I have to learn newer technologies react.js, react native, node.js github. Which I'm doing now. I would recommend you to learn react, that will expose you to learn many technologies
