Does HREF stand for something

Question

I’m assuming it does but I don’t know what. I like to use acronyms to remember so what does this one mean? If it is one it just seems a little Random

Actually speaking, there is no full form for href, but you could think of it as hypertext reference (this is not the full form). Href is the attribute of the anchor <a> tag which tells it the link which it should lead to, when clicked on.
