Try sites like SPOJ, very useful for all levels of programming

Experiment with the Code Playground (curly braces from the app, green circle with a plus sign to add a project, then select a project type). I noticed you don't have any snippets or projects saved there yet. I think it can really help bridge the gap if used enthusiastically.
