I would say Python as it is the easiest to learn and gives a basic understanding of coding to then develop into more complicated languages
e.g
C++
C#

many say Python but for me Html is the easiest language for any programmer,it doesn't really required much energy to learn compared to the rest

Well, it totally depends upon you in which domain you want to go.
If you want to go in Machine learning, Data Analysis then start with Python. Also, according to me Python is the perfect language you should start with.
If you want to go in Android app development then start with Java and proceed towards Kotlin.
If you want to create some iOS apps then start with Swift.
If you want to go in Game development then start with C++ or C#.
If you want to go in Web Development start with JavaScript.
So before choosing any language, consider asking yourself in which domain you want to go.
Apart from that learn C language after you master any high level language. Because C helps to understand you how Computer work and it's memory management. Learn Data Structure in C and you will gain deep knowledge of Computer Science or Programming to be precise.
After that if you have time left and you want to be Prodigy in Computer Science, then learn Assembly Language. Believe me it will make you such a great developer.

i recommend you to choose python or java or javasctipt(web). Java is useful when learning C languages(C++ is hard for a newbie) and other languages. While python provide you a handy syntax which is very similar to regular English. It is up to you. Try different languages first and choose the best language that fits you.

I am an amateur too but I think c++ is hard to learn but if you do you can learn most of other languages based on it."if you have 100 then 99 is yours too"

I will you should start from python though academics starts from C++ and java.
Then you can learn java and PHP.
Don't start from my SQL

PHP, then HTML, then JavaScript, then Java.

Nicolena Taylor You then must be a genius and a non-conformist!

it doesn't really matter, which language you choose to learn because the important thing is to learn the concepts of programming like what is variable, what is function, how function work. ....in last, when these concepts are clear no language is big deal to learn ;) 👍

As from my school we started by PHP, as it gives the basics for almost all the languages and very simple understanding of programming. (but as I see here in SoloLearn all the languages start with the basics, so it doesn't really matter.) After that it is up to you. I heard that JavaScript is easy and used on multiple platforms. But I would consider Python, Java or C++/C# for a work as programmer.

plus,As a beginner I started with Java,it almost killed me!!Almost damaged my brain cells!!

I think for a starter the best is C.
It makes it easier to understand all the others if you start with C.

I'm still a beginner, but I started with JavaScript.

Well, I started with JavaScript. But I think you would like to try Phyton or Ruby, they are useful languages, and easy to understand. Give them a go :)
EDIT NOTE: C and C++ may become harder if you don't know Java. If you want to try C languages, Java is better for you.

I would surely recommend you to begin with C++
