For website back-end which one do you prefer? php or Python?

I wonder what's the best choice to start learning the back end. although I'm interested in learning both of them, but for starters I don't know which one to choose.

Python only has back-end frameworks, while PHP was built with back-end in mind. Obviously, the best back-end choice is PHP

Š ŠµŠ¹Ń…Š°Š½ I use with Django and I find it much nicer then working with PHP (although there is a little bit of a learning curve). If you prefer PHP that's fine and I get it, but it's just not for me. Honestly, I would suggest you try both and use whichever one you like more.

Easy start? PHP or Flask, certainly not Django

Yahiko PHP wasn't designed with anything in mind. It was simply a tool for it's creator to manage his own small website. PHP is a mess and working with Django or Ruby on Rails is way nicer. Prolog was designed for AI and Python/C weren't. Now, nobody uses Prolog anymore in AI in favor of other languages.

Vlad Serbu Interesting! So personally do you use Django? Then you think it's better to work with Python(Django)?
