Why jquery code not working in php code playground ?

Question

refer this code and find out why jquery script not working in it

on clicking on reply button opens a textbox for reply form and on comment it opens a comment form in my system but its not working here...i had also tried using alert massage but it was not worked

I'm not sure that you can use jQuery (essentially JavaScript, which is client-side) to insert PHP (server-side) and have it run this way...

here it is just for event handling....
on this plateform .i am just wanted to know that whether it is workable to use jquery and php in the same file in sololearn codeplayground......
