Do I need to learn html and css along with java?

Question

I was wondering if it is really important to learn html and css along with java because my ultimate intention is to moving ahead to learning android app development. Since Java is necessary to yield result in back end for an app but at the same time the app should be user friendly as well. This is my own thought. Let me know yours! TIA
