Which programming language is the best to create a game.

I agree with Jax to go with unreal or unity. now that I've heard of them. I see those game engines everywhere.

For making games, I suggest using a game engine, and learning the language they require. For example Unity and C#, or Unreal and C++. I highly suggest game engines over a single language from scratch

fennecfoxx give me one example of a serious game written in Java? Even Adobe will stop supporting Flash, so stay clear of it.

Java is a good platform-independent option that can run on just about any system. Not an issue if you just want to create games for personal use, but it is something to keep in mind if you plan on distributing your games.
