As a programmer, laziness is a motivation. You don't want to do things, so you make the computer do them for you.

If that is pathetic, then so is the the rest of the world; for is it what our modern lives are based on.

... but if you are so lazy that you can't even muster the effort to move your fingers on a keyboard and compile a program, that's a bit of a problem.
