Use jQuery?

Would you recommend it? How does it affect the performance?

Thank you for your answer and sorry for my late reply.

One guy told me to use it because "jQuery is the better JavaScript". And I thought it would be a different language. Doing some research I learned it's a library for JavaScript which imo "just" simplifies coding in JavaScript. But using pure JavaScript is better related to the performance of the code (especially on bigger projects). So I'm a little bit confused now.

it's very useful bez it can make your page load faster. Try to learn it it's very easy
