learn C++ first... it will help you to easily connect with both C and Java ... after that you can understand them easily

I would say that question has no real answer, its the equivalent of asking whats better spanish or French? it's all relevant to who you ask or what you're working on. i like both the languages you have mentioned, the concepts, the algorithms, the design patterns, those remain the same through any language, the keywords and implementations are what change. good luxk to you in your choice though!
