Kotlin isn't really different in Android. Android is different than normal programming with any language. Java and C++ have the same differences as Kotlin in order to create an Android app. In Android programming, you make modifications to an existing program to extend its functionality to support your application. Therefore, you don't code a main program as it is already done. You inform that program 'please tell me when something happens' so it knows to notify you.

there's no difference between kotlin or java "normal" or for Android. what you may have seen is declaration or creating event handlers, objects and interfaces are different from a declaration in java or kotlin for computer. but this little differences can be seen in official Android website for developers. there you have examples of any kind.
