Why no C programming in here?

C does not support Object Oriented Programming while C++ does. Apart from that, there are more functions and objects which can be utilised through C++ programming, as compared to C. However, it is also a good, optional idea to take up C before proceeding to C++.

Quoting from a similar thread in the section: "Because we have C++, which is backwards compatible and covers most of the aspects you need to know in order to understand C programming language, i.e. if you have no problem understanding C++, you'll have no problem understanding C and porting codes from C to C++."

but some people said, C and C++ are slightly different.. what is it?
