(If you want the short answer, go to the last paragraph) Hey! Welcome to Sololearn. You made a good choice with Sololearn, because the courses and community are great! Alright, so first of all, I dont know why you linked the guidelines to posting, but its good you read it! Second, learning programming is actually quite easy! It just takes a lot of dedication and months, sometimes even years of practice. I would advise you to use many websites, books, etc. along with Sololearn to get the best experience and knowledge. For the language, I started with HTML and CSS. They stand for Hyper-Text Markup Language, and Cascading Style Sheets, respectively. They aren't really true programming, but they are good to start with to get a hang of things. If you want to jump straight into programming, then you have two options. Object Oriented and not Object Oriented. You can read more about that here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Object-oriented_programming?scrlybrkr=5bf13811 Many of the languages here are OOP (Object Oriented Programming). Im currently learning Python and its a blast! Alright. For the short answer: HTML and CSS are good to get a hang of things, and for real programming I would recommend Python or a C based language. Happy Coding! (wow that was a long answer)
